Stainless steel connection enclosure standard

Provides protection in areas where equipment is sprayed with water or is otherwise very wet, or in special applications where corrosion may be a problem.

Applications:

• Instrument housing
• Electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings
• Electrical connection boxes
• Terminal wiring enclosure

Norms:

• UL 508A type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13
• CSA type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13
• NEMA type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13
• IEC 60529, IP66

Structure:

• Moulded from stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304)
• Smooth, continuously welded seams
• Welded brackets provide for the fastening of the enclosure
• The lift-off lid is fixed with stainless steel clips and screws
• Seamless cast-in seal
• All models larger than 4 x 4" include a removable 14 gauge inner plate
• Threaded bolts are provided for mounting the inner cladding
• There is an grounding bolt on the door and an grounding bolt in the enclosure

Finishing:

• Cover and enclosure are made of stainless steel with a smooth, brushed surface
• The removable inner panelling is powder-coated white
