Starter kit with control unit box and signal lamp

Areas of application include intralogistics, cross-plant alarming, retrofitting (digital retrofitting of existing systems and machines) or data acquisition from manual processes including data evaluation and data display.

The following functions/data can be realised via the terminals:

• Capturing keystrokes
• Acquisition of digital signals at the digital inputs of the units
• Colour control of the lighting via the KIS.MANAGER
• Digital control of digital outputs for controlling external devices via the KIS.MANAGER

The units can be operated in two different modes:

Configuration mode (5V):
This mode is usually used for onboarding the devices and transmitting the WLAN access data. Digital inputs and outputs are not available in this operating mode. A power supply of 5V / 700mA per device must be provided.

Working mode (24 V):
This mode is used in working mode. Digital inputs and outputs are available in this operating mode. USB communication is not available in this mode.

Notes:

• The digital switching outputs of the terminal units switch between the logical switching level Off (high impedance) and the logical switching level ON (VCC - 1V). A short-term inrush current (peak current) of 10A must not be exceeded. The switching outputs are thermally protected.
• The KIS.MANAGER is required to use the device. It is possible to use the device free of charge for 90 days (180 days if a starter kit is purchased), for permanent use there are ongoing licence fees.
