All airflow sensors work with heat transfer - flow and differential pressure. The silicon chip design consists of a thermally insulated thin-film bridge structure that contains both heating and temperature sensors. This enables a fast response to the air or gas flow as well as its quantity and direction. These sensors provide a proportional output voltage. Amplified versions offer an improved output signal and less external circuitry, while unamplified versions allow for additional external circuit options. Advanced chip design, manufacturing techniques and microstructure technology improve response time and reduce power consumption. A wide range of connections ensures greater application flexibility.
